Chuck Uken, our pastor since November of 1986, is retiring
February 3, 2008. His purpose of drawing people to Christ and
encouraging them in their faith continues to live in the church.
Starting in February, the council is inviting guest
pastors to minister the word. Malcolm
Brown and Peter Staal are two excellent speakers who have committed
themselves to preach once a month. Other pastors will be invited to minister
the word on the other Sundays.
Speakers are ordained pastors of the Christian Reformed
Church or of sister denominations or they are approved to exhort by a
regional denominational organization.
The regional body that Newman Christian Reformed Church belongs to is
Classis Muskegon.
