Alpha is an Introduction to
Christianity, An opportunity to explore the meaning of life
What’s
the point of Life? What happens when we Die? Is
Forgiveness possible? What Relevance does
Jesus have for our lives today?
A nyone interest
in finding out more about the Christian faith is welcome on the course.
L earning and laughter. It is
possible to learn about the Christian faith and have fun at the same time.
P asta and
Pie. Eating a meal together gives people an opportunity to get to
know each other.
H elping one
another. The small groups give you a chance to discuss issues
raised in the talks.
A sk
anything. Alpha is a place where no question is regarded as too
simple or too hostile.
What
does an evening look like?
Arrive 6:00 p.m. Visit,
sit, chat, cup of coffee;
Meal 6:15 A full supper, not fancy, but
healthy.
Break 7:00 We clean off tables and set up for talk
Talk DVD presentation
7:15 Watch the presentations on a 31” screen TV
Coffee break 8:00 Relax and stretch
Small group
discussion 8:15 No one will be asked to speak nor will
embarrassing questions be asked.
The course is free. Guests may be invited to make a voluntary
contribution towards the food and the cost of the weekend away.

Every
paragraph of these Biblical books has a question to help you probe its
meaning. The questions are multiple choice, true-false, and some with
blanks to fill. The idea behind these Bible studies is to help the reader
be sensitive to what the Holy Spirit is trying to communicate.
